Read 1 Timothy 6:17-19
I wish I had wings like a dove!
I’d fly away and rest.
~Psalm 55:6~
At the institute where I teach, I gave a special assignment to the first-year students. I asked them to write a prose-poem on the topic, “If I were given two wings.” Some students started writing right away, while others hesitated. With some persuasion on my part all of them finished within the allotted time. They presented their poems to the class with a sense of achievement. Among all the good pieces, Salmaan’s stood apart. It read, “Oh, we’re I blessed with two wings! With them I would fly afar to become wings of those who have no wings.”
Those lines still linger in my mind. With this noble vision Salamanca now teaches at a primary school in Kerala. God gives him opportunities every day to become wings of love and knowledge to many children.
God calls us to surrender ourselves completely, reaching out to others and becoming a source of love, knowledge, and healing. The psalmist sought to fly above life-threatening situations to find solace in God’s presence. God empowers us to reach others and to become a source of love and compassion.
Our divine calling is to be a blessing for others.

Heavenly Father, empower us to become wings of love so that we may reach out to those who are in need. Amen
Jesus is coming soon! Are you ready?
Seek Him now while He may be found!
