EVIDENCES OF LOVING GOD

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent is only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

1 John 4:7-9

John reminds us God's love for the world was so great that He gave His only begotten Son so we could be reconciled to Him. God is the personification of love. He does not just do acts of love; He is love. God loves all humanity. Because God first loved us, we love Him and our brother and sister in Christ. Christians express God's love by loving one another.

Dear God, help us today to always love one another just as Christ loves us. Amen
