GOD HONORS THOSE WHO SERVE JESUS

‘If any man serve me, let him follow me: and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

~John 12:26~

This scripture tells me that when we serve the Lord Jesus Christ, the Father will honor us. It is awesome to realize that God will honor us for serving his Son. There are many ways to serve Jesus. Serve means "to be of service or use." People who are involved in church service in the areas of praying, greeting, ushering, singing in the choir, teaching special classes, children's church, working with youth, volunteering in the office, answering the telephone, making calls to newcomers, visiting those in the hospitals and nursing homes, and many, many more.

Whenever you do or say something positive and productive to serve another of God's creation, God the Father in Heaven loves you with an everlasting love and he will honor you. Honor means "title conferred for achievement"

Serve the Lord with gladness and give him the opportunity to honor you.

Lord Jesus, let us desire to follow and serve you, not to bring honor to ourselves but to honor you. You served others when you lived on the earth, and I praise you for opportunities to be of service to you through the church, and in my relationships at home and at work. And I choose to serve you with gladness. Amen
