NOTHING CAN SEPARATE

Paul wrote, "I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, or anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Romans 8:38-39

Have you ever received a tragic phone call in the middle of the night? You can't believe it, you're devastated you don't understand. You didn't see this coming and you wondered why. While you can speculate and offer opinions, you probably will never understand why the tragedy occurred. The outpouring of love from family, friends, neighbors and church members help you get through the challenging days. Friends have the courage to tell you their stories of losing someone maybe in a similar way. Suicide creates a sad unexplainable void in many lives. Romans 8 assures us that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Even in tragic times we can bear God's light to others.

Dear Lord, when our hearts are broken and tragedy, help us to feel your love. Amen
